Backyard putting greens are all the rage. Is there a golfer that doesn’t need to work on their short game? With synthetic putting green technology, the expense (and potential nightmare) of maintenance is a thing of the past. Duffer or aspiring pro, all it takes is enough disposable income (not to mention square footage) and an artificial putting green will turn your home into the neighborhood golf destination resort. But what does it really cost?
I’d reckon you’ll be out more than a few thousand, but that’s an answer only your salesman can provide. But is there any better place to close a business deal than on a golf course?
Your backyard might look like a cow pasture (heck, it might even be a pasture). Forget about fertilizer. With an artificial putting green you won’t even have to water.
Stressed out? Missing too many short putts?
You might just have a bad case of the dreaded yips! If you put in enough practice on your own putting green, you can gain the confidence to “be the ball” and beat those yips.
Take the technology up a notch, while you’re at it, and use a video camera to analyze your form. Don’t forget to implement an appointment scheduling software solution to handle the tee time chores.
Now if you find yourself short after financing the purchase of your spiffy new backyard putting green, you can always hit up your friends and neighbors for donations, er greens fees … even if the currency is contained in frosty cold mugs …
