Ring Tones?

Oh those wacky ring tones. For better or for worse, they’re everywhere these days. Here’s your chance to share your opinions and sound off on the subject …

While I’ve taken a temporary sabbatical from owning a cell phone, that hasn’t stopped those wacky ring tones from shattering the (relative) peace and quiet of my day. Sure, I don’t have a cell phone, but I still have to listen to everyone else’s wacky ring tones.

No matter where I happen to be, I know that I’ll have to endure some of the most tortured tunes imaginable. But what I don’t understand is why folks load (much less buy) some of this junk. (Or why they can’t just set their phones to vibrate, in the first place …)

Alas, nothing could be more subjective than the selection of a personal ring tone.

Here’s an invitation.

I’m opening up the floor for you to share your opinions on this oh-so-crucial topic. Drop me a line and let me know your ring tone picks and pans. Let me know what you dig, what you don’t, and where you think it’s all going.

And as for my next ring tone (when I finally get around to picking up another phone), it’ll definitely be that age old favorite, the circus theme song … da don don don don da don don don don don aaah, da don don don don da don don don don don aaah …

Now that won’t be too irritating, eh?
