The worst I ever had to deal with was three feet of water after Hurricane Floyd. While that seemed monumental at the time, I can’t even begin to imagine the efforts it will take to get things back to normal in the hardest hit areas.

Nevertheless, I hope that my tips for drying out a flooded basement might be of some help for those with lesser damage.

If I could be doing anything right now, I would be driving a big truck down the Interstate–filled with donations like diapers, baby formula, water, and food–to those who so badly need it.
