In the previous installment of my shrinking software brain, I lamented about how I just can’t seem to memorize those keyboard shortcuts with the gusto I once had. Never did I think that I’d be the recipient of sage Gnomie advice …
Cran kindly shared some words of wisdom:
Welcome to the world of “I’m getting older,” “Things take time,” and “I don’t have time for this,” et al…
There are a lot of things that would be nice and then there are a lot of things that I wish I would have done, etc.
Take the time to do what you like well, what you want to do even better, and what you have to do, do as well as you can.
Hey, I’m 64, an ungineer and carpenter by trade and computer guru by dumluk. geesh!
Take time to enjoy what you can and work your way thru the rest.
Sage advice, indeed. I’ve bagged on the MCSE boot camp thang. I’ll leave that one to the whippersnappers.
I still have plenty of dragons to slay and miles to go before I sleep, but like Crissie Hynde wrote, “I’m standing in the middle of life with my plans behind me.”
Gotta pick those battles …
