Move over Mayor Quimby.

The voice of Bart Simpson now speaks for City Hall.

Nancy Cartwright, a.k.a. the voice of Bart Simpson, has been elected mayor of Northridge, California.

As reported in the Simpsons Archive, and other fine news sources:

“Everyone finds it funny that Bart is the new mayor. I can influence people because I’m Bart Simpson!”

“I live in a nice neighborhood, but down the road there’s drugs and gangs, stealing and illiteracy.”

Cartwright has lent her considerable voice talent to the long-running Fox animated phenom for close to twenty years.

Neither the Govenator nor former Carmel mayor Clint Eastwood could be reached for comment.
