When I penned a short piece last summer about getting a great deal on your next auto insurance policy, my research was done in the real world–with an insurance agent, over hot dogs and hamburgers at a backyard barbecue, no less. My own auto insurance policy has been with the same company for eons, and let me just say, I’m very thankful. Quite honestly, the company is so good, I’d like to keep the policy until I hang up the keys for good. This is a long-term relationship and I’m a happy camper.

But I know that there are lots of folks that aren’t nearly as happy with their auto insurers.

And I know that a good many folks have switched their policies after finding a better deal over the Internet.
