Pass the Potatoes and Stick a Fork in That Spyware

I’ve always been fond of Thanksgiving. Ah the fine tradition of the get together, with the requisite over-eating, drinking, endless football on TV, and (most importantly) tryptophan-induced dozing on the couch. It’s time to bring a new geeky tradition to this most traditional holiday. In the spirit of sharing, I’m going to suggest that you bring something along to Thanksgiving dinner, wherever you happen to go … something that might seem odd at first …
You don’t have to run out to the store. You’re already in the right place to make it happen … seeing as you’re sitting down at your computer.
I’d like to suggest that you bring a CD-ROM with spyware fighting tools along to your Thanksgiving dinner. When the dinner conversation turns to computers, and inevitably spyware, you’ll be ready.
Spyware affects everyone around us … mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, children, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, grandparents, and friends. While they may be flustered, we can do something about it. When you show up on the doorstep on Thanksgiving day, you can bring something more useful than another bottle of wine and lower in calories than a pumpkin pie.
A spyware removal kit on a disc is a gift that no one can deny.
Just one CD might not do. :) Better burn up a dozen …
Here’s wishing all of our American friends a very happy Thanksgiving. And to everyone outside the USA, here’s wishing you a wonderful November 25th, all the same!
