I’m going to take a break from the standard Technobabble articles today to urge you to get out and vote this Tuesday, November 2nd. Now I’m not going to get political on you … I won’t (really) start ranting and raving about the two-party thing. After all, on my local sample voting machine ballot here in Joisey, I count a total of nine tickets in the presidential row. And quite a row it is this year.

That’s right … half a dozen tickets in addition to the candidates you know about (the Elephants, the Donkeys, and the Naders). You can vote for three kinds of Socialists, the Green Party, the Constitution Party, and the good old Libertarians. It seems like the Libertarians are there all the time, but most folks would never know.

That’s a heck of a lot of parties.

For all our American Gnomie friends: the most important thing you can do today is vote.
