Conference Call

An acquaintance of mine is looking for a conference call provider. Now I’m quite interested in the subject of conference calling as it relates to web conferencing, so when the topic came up in conversation, I tuned in immediately.

I was amazed to learn that there is a company that provides free conference calls. You read it right … free conference calls.

The name of the company is Integrated Data Concepts Teleconferencing Services. Their website can be found at freeconference.com … not a bad URL for a company that provides free conference calls, eh?

Apparently, they build their own equipment and offer the free conference calling in the hope that folks might upgrade to their paid plan. (With the free service, callers must dial into non-toll-free number.)

While I need to compare Integrated Data Concepts Teleconferencing Services with the other conference call providers, this sounds like a pretty slick idea.

Like Uncle Louie used to say, “compare your apples to apples, not to orangutans.”

I agree with Jimmy. In my area (just south of Chicago), we get frequent power outages, power spikes, etc. i have an APC unit that has ALWAYS safely protected my computer. In the event i am not home, it will safely shutdown my computer and other devices I have connected to it.

I have 2 Surge protectors built into my fuse box by my electrican and it has worked. We had a nearby lightning strike that protected all my electrical items.
