Computer Recycling and Disposal

Computer recycling is serious business. And it’s not obscure. We’re all faced with the issue of computer disposal. So how do you deal with it? Do you take the time to recycle your old computers or simply dispose of them in the trash?
I’d bet that folks would happily cough up cash to destroy computer equipment with a host of tools/weapons. After all, the tale of Elvis shooting the television set is an American Fable.
hmmmm … destroyyourcomputer.com is available …
I envision Jesse James and the Monster Garage crew building a mobile computer recycling (er, destruction) vehicle … with a supercharged Hemi and a flamed paint job, of course.
“Don’t Just Get Rid of Your Old Computer. Get Revenge!”
Who wants a mobile computer recycling franchise?
The line starts over there! :)

The recycling of Computers is a very hot topic worldwide at the moment. I’m starting to believe that it’s having an impact on the price of new goods as well, driving the price down as customers are lost to the lure of cheap second hand goods.
It’s only going to get worse at the moment. Export (illegal or otherwise) is rife, even where it’s been banned.
Every tom dick and harry is jumping on the computer recycling bandwagon, trying to make a quick buck. It won’t last though. Free recycling services are simply unsustainable if ethics are to be adhered to. Half the waste is hazardous and needs tighter control. Legislation is starting to rollout in the West and it’ll dampen a few spirits.
