Ring of Death/Why Sundays Make me Cry

I’ve been experiencing some Xbox screen freezing problems. I didn’t get around to attempting to address them until this morning, when I was greeted by a pleasant surprise. I followed all of the Microsoft’s instructions which seemed to piss this beast of a gaming console off. It met my attempts with a shiny Ring ‘O Death. Fortunately I spent the extra $60 at Best Buy for an extended service plan (before Microsoft decided to extend everyone’s warranty for an additional two years. Seeing as I payed $400 for my box, I will be receiving a voucher for $400 and some change. A new Xbox only runs at $300, leaving me with $100 of pure profit. What shall I do with this money? Perhaps I’ll invest in setting up TechandRamen.com, play the stock market, or maybe I’ll treat myself to Fable 2 and a hooker (just joking about one of those).

Fortunately for me, there was some good news to reduce the sorrow over my broken Xbox; my iPhone 3G was shipped this morning at 0600. Of course, it’s overnight shipping, and we can thank all of the Christians for not being able to receive mail on Sundays! I figure I can wait until Monday afternoon, but I’ll have major difficulty not wanting to leave work a few hours early to go pick it up.
