Clinton “Fights for Northern Ireland”, and Obama “Drives Bus Into Ditch”…

The title of this post is just two of the many random comments stated on the MSNBC Democratic Presidential Debate.
When Clinton was asked about her foreign policy experience she first referred to her work when she fought for Northern Ireland… I had to a pause for a moment after hearing this. What kind of campaign manager tells their candidate to refer to a little known struggle when asked about their foreign policy experience? In my mind I think Clinton lost out on a chance to separate herself from Obama on the question of foreign policy.
Later Obama was asked about the current situation in Iraq. Obama compared the United States troops invasion as being like a “bus being drove into a ditch…”. Again, I had a pause. Did Obama just say that the troops conducted their entrance in a way that was similar to a bus being driven into a ditch? Did Obama mean that concentration was lost by some troops? His comment left a lot to be understood. It is obvious that he has this line memorized for this very moment…unfortunately, for Obama, he screwed it up and left some people utterly confused…
What are your thoughts on these comments???
