Students Post Pictures on Facebook of Themselves Drinking Underage; Suspended From Sports.

A recent story out of Eden Prairie, Minnesota caught my eye the other day. According to numerous news reports, the Eden Prairie High School was given thousands of pictures of current and past Eden Prairie High School students taking part or under the suspicion of illegal substance use; including drugs and alcohol use. The school has suspended 13 students from sports or other school activities.  42 students were interviewed in all, and all students interviewed had their parents notified of their actions in the picture.

About 30-40 students staged a walk-out from class on Thursday.  Of course local media was there to suck up the story and add their wonderful twist to the story.

So the debate continues; should schools be able to punish students for their actions depicted in a photo?  What are your thoughts?
