Nero 8 Ultra Review

In our digital world of today people demand a lot from their software and there are only a handful of programs that let you take full advantage of your multimedia content. One of these programs is Nero 8. I’ve been a fan of Nero for a long time. So when I heard they released Nero 8 I decided to purchase it so here are my opinions on Nero 8.When I first booted Nero 8 I noticed that Nero made it easier to navigate to applications and changed the graphics which look amazing. While it is easy to navigate through the program once you’re actually doing something like making a movie Nero gives the average user too much information about a process such as cutting a video.

In my opinion Nero 8 is intended for more advanced users. Nero 8 delivers a lot of nice features right to your PC such as Nero Home which is a program for hooking up your computer to your TV. Nero Home allows you to watch videos form your computer on to your nice big screen TV, but that’s not all Nero Home lets you record TV while watching live TV. There are also other cool features in Nero Home like viewing pictures, listening to the radio, and my personal favorite sharing files over a secured network to your other computers.

Nero also lets you burn many formats on DVD/CD and its famous “Burning ROM” is great for someone who wants to burn their videos onto DVD or make a data CD. Nero also has this nice backup tool that backs up all your media content on to a separate hard drive or CD/DVD. So if you’re into music there are two programs meant for music editing one is Nero WaveEditor and Nero SoundTrax these applications aren’t the best but they’ll do the job. Then there is my favorite PhotoSnap, which allows for some light picture editing which is good enough for the average user.

Nero also has a lot of cool tools like Nero ImageDrive which lets you run .iso right from your hard drive there is no need of wasting a CD/DVD. So the bottom line is Nero 8 is for more advanced users if you never have tried Nero’s products I recommend them to everyone with a huge multimedia library.
