As the owner of 160 GB iPod which has been much used and is almost full, I finally bit the bullet and bought a new generation 32 GB iPod touch with some trepidation. I needn’t have worried. The fast internet access on this baby makes the need for storage space so less important. Music videos have now been replaced with YouTube bookmarks and many music files have been replaced with radio stations and online music playlist websites giving me a more and varied diet than I had previously with my gorged iPod 160 GB. In addition there are the amazing apps which, when used with productivity in mind, turn the Touch into a PDA. I can now access my documents and boomarks through my iGoogle almond with a lot of other stuff such as my diary. I know that the iPohone is out there and is arguably even better but I am waiting for a better battery life and a greater reliability. I feel the iPhone still has a long way to go yet. I’ll but one when it gets there.
Things missing from the Touch that would make it even better…
A microphone
A camera
But I need neither of these enough to sway me towards the iPhone…yet.
