As such, I have decided to pay homage to my most frequently used dashboard widgets.

  1. Radar in Motion
    In many states including Texas, the weather can be deadly to both you and your computer. So I use radar in motion to monitor oncoming storms so I know if I need to shut down my computer or if it is just a brief shower. If you live in Tornado Alley it’s invaluable.

  2. IP widget
    Quick little widget that tells you your internal or external IP. Helps when you are optimizing your router settings (port forwarding).

  3. Colourmod
    Can you remember hex? I can’t. When building websites you frequently need to know the code for whatever color you need. Colourmod fills this need.

  4. Stop it!
    Perfect little timer widget, I use it to let me know when I have to move my clothes from the washing machine to the dryer.

  5. I love lamp
    OK, this is just plain fun. I have always wanted a Lava Lamp but lack the desk space and power to accommodate one. This way I can always have the friendly glow of a lava lamp just a click away.

With Krogers, Randalls, Office depot, Sam’s club and many more it can be quite a bulge in your wallet. Do what I do, get a cheap wallet with a few card slots and put them in there! I frees up space in your wallet and you can also save your receipts in the back where money would normally go. It’s great for saving receipts for tax purposes or when on expenses. No need to carry it on you, you can leave it in your car or bag so you always know where it is. My wallet shrunk by at least an inch when I tried this little trick.Just a thought,-Spencer Nick a.k.a. It’s the easiest way to calculate PayPal fees period. Including my favorite feature the Reverse PayPal fee calculator telling you how much a person would have to send you for you to receive a said amount.

4)VersionTracker

Keep up to date with all kinds of cool software for both OSX and Windows.

5)SourceForge.net

Take a look around in here and you are sure to find all kinds of goodies for all different purposes! It’s the Freeware and OpenSource software mecca.

It’s dreadful looking and it’s sometimes hard to figure out how to do something very simple.2)It’s too crowdedIt’s slow as hell much of the time and sometimes impossible to use.

3)The automatic flash music players

For gods sake, turn those @#!$% things off! I usually listen to my own music when working or surfing and to have random noise blasted at me is VERY annoying.

4) People get so mad at you if you don’t update

EXCUSE ME!!! I have had a website for almost 8 years don’t act like the fact that I neglect my MySpace page in favor of my own site is blasphemy, I have been blogging for way longer than most the MySpace junkies have and I actually take the time to make my site look nice.

5) Can you say “Geek”?

The lack of the ability for me to choose my well..everything (site design, widgets and plugins) has led me to set up shop elsewhere.

I think the social revolution is a wonderful thing and I love many social sites. (Digg,YouTube,Flickr) I just think it needs to be a little more user friendly.
