Today I got an anonymous comment on my last post from a user at IP: 72.185.25.22 My responses are indicated in Italic.

What a whiny mac using b*tch. “Boo hoo. I lost my session.”

If you had lost 2 days worth of research, you would be mad too.

Ever think it may have something to do with the umpteen million 3rd party addons you have installed on firefox? Of course not because you are an idiot. lol

I have only one add-on, Session Saver. I don’t use any others for exactly this reason.

Not just firefox? Safari too?
I take it back then. Maybe it’s because it’s a mac. heh
“Boo hoo. Where’s the big fix it button?”

On the mac the “Big fix it button” is the support from the Mac community at large, we help each other with mutual respect. Something you are obviously to immature to understand, Anonymous. (I corrected your spelling of your name for you.)

I can’t stand how people complain about free software that people have worked very hard on. If you don’t like it, don’t use it and stop your b*tching.

If nobody ever complains, nothing ever changes. In addition I have already stopped using Firefox as my primary browser.

By using a Mac you are pretty much agreeing to do EVERYTHING apple’s way. Choose an OS that has more options. Preferably linux or bsd, or hell, even windows.
Well, if you would have taken the time to learn anything about the Mac you would discover that it in fact runs on BSD. Do I agree to run everything Apple’s way? No. Only a few mac users do. In fact that is why they have programs like Firefox and Camino. It gives you an alternative to Apple’s safari.

In conclusion, mean posters suck and need to go back to egging the neighbors door or other childish pranks and leave everything else to the professionals and the geeks. I really liked the way you stood out and said how you feel that is very big of you … Anonymous

I agree completely with everything that you said. I am a cross-platform user that is still primarily a Windows user. My next brand-new computer will probably be a Mac with either Boot Camp or some sort of Virtual Machine to run Windows. This is because I firmly believe that it order to receive a “full computing experience” you have to be running both of these operating systems because there are applications for each operating system that aren’t available on the other. Anyway, I do agree that Firefox has definitly been created to appeal to the Windows community. This is probably because IE6 and IE7 are so bad. Fundamentally speaking, Safari isn’t that bad of a browser. It does have it’s shortcomings but it gets the job done. I have never had any serious, continuous problems with Firefox on the Mac (PowerBook G4, 12inch, 1.33Ghz and 1.5GB of RAM). I am graduate student studying Educational Technology and if I were to lose all of my research like you did, I would also be extremely pissed on the Mozilla Corporation. Good luck figuring out a solution to this problem.

All the horrible problems with firefox seem to be isolated to the new Intel macs, as far as I can tell.
