A Statistica file viewer for Linux

Today I heard at school that in my course of statistics I would be using a program called statistica.Of course this is a expensive piece of closed source software that doesn’t really have any general use but for this class. As it only runs on windows

I would love to be at least able to view statistica files on linux so I decided to go out and try to write a .sta viewer, as I’d found some kind of statistica development kit.

Turns out this kit is from 1997 (the version that works with c++, all the rest only works with  vb.net) and it’s simply not usable under linux. damn that’s a disappointment so it seems that I’m going to have to stop on my little project unless someone has some kind of miracle solution to this darn problem.

What Do You Think?
