This Cosmos .dream was made to go with the Cosmos MyColors suite, but it’s a fine .dream all by itself.  It’s very subtle, so this is perfect for people who don’t like a lot of movement on the desktop.  For Vista Ultimate users with DeskScapes, or all Vista users with the full beta from Object Desktop.

The DeskScapes 2.0 preview release has arrived! No longer will .dreams be limited to Vista Ultimate only.  If you have Windows Vista you can download the DeskScapes 2.0 preview and check out some of the included animated wallpapers.

Stardock is pleased to announce that the DeskScapes 2.0 preview version is now available. DeskScapes allows users of Windows Vista to have animated wallpapers on their desktop. It runs the Stardock created .DREAM format which can contain videos as animated wallpapers or dynamically generated content. The goal of the preview version is to evaluate the variety of hardware configurations out there running Windows Vista in order to see how well different types of Dreams run. The three included Dreams were especially chosen to check out 3 very different types of capabilities.

January started the year off great, and going in to February, submissions to the .dream gallery just keep getting better and better. We have several .dream creators starting to make quite a name for themselves, and I am still very excited for what we will see throughout the year.

If you are a user of Windows Vista Ultimate, then I’m sure you have heard about the “Ultimate Extra” which brings animated wallpapers to your desktop. DeskScapes was an enhancement released earlier in the years which extended DreamScene to support animated wallpapers that can be triggered by the time of day, and dynamically generated wallpapers, among other features.

Today, Stardock has announced DeskScapes 2.0. DeskScapes 2.0 will run on any version of Windows Vista that can run Aero (Home Premium, Business, Ultimate). DeskScapes also supports the .dream format, where you can find many download of .dreams here.
