Windows Vista can’t count

Yesterday I was having some trouble with my psp as I wasn’t able to save anything on the memory card for some reason and that ended up in some of my game data being corrupt which was very annoying as I was playing the game and I wasn’t able to save anything. So after deleting the corrupted files I thought I’ll just download a game save as I didn’t really want to start over again, so I headed over to gamefaqs.com and looked for the save I wanted, I downloaded it and then transferred it over to the psp through usb connection. When I went to check if the game save was there well that was a corrupt file as well, so since it was corrupted I went and deleted it but the psp wasn’t able to so I had no choice but to delete it through Vista.
This is where the weirdest thing happened, I currently have a 4GB memory stick in my psp (that’s a little bit of information you’ll need to understand this story), so when I seen the folder I needed to delete in windows I went ahead and done so, part way through it said it couldn’t delete one of the folders so I just said skip that one and any other folders like it as when I clicked on try again it always seemed to fail. Well an hour had passed and it was still deleting but had somehow come up and said “is currently deleting 28GB worth of files”, ok so how can it delete 28gb worth of files from a 4gb memory stick? Over 50,000 files were being deleted which I know were not on the memory stick as I don’t have the space to fit over 50,000 files on there! In the end I had to format the memory stick through the psp system options and I had to back up everything I had before the format, anyway since that everything is working ok now, I just haven’t downloaded the game save again as I don’t want to do all that again.
