Guitar Hero on tour review

Well today I got guitar hero on tour for the Nintendo ds and as always I plan on doing a review and here it is, I’ll break it down into certain parts so it’s not one big paragraph.
The game: It’s just the same as any other guitar hero game apart from losing that fifth button, the song list is a bit weak with most of the songs being ones from guitar hero 3 and the rest being rock and roll style songs but still challenging. If you’ve played any other guitar hero game then you’ll be fine with skipping easy and going straight to medium although you might just want to take the tutorial just to get into it. The graphics are nothing special but if you’re a fan of guitar hero then you’ll know that graphics mean nothing to this game. Some of the songs are too easy and drag on for a while which does make it feel boring and then there are some songs that can be basically impossible to do with the solos. Guitar hero still sticks to its style of making expert an annoying option that you just want to complete and in this game it’s no different at all, at first I didn’t think there would be anything really challenging about this game but there is definitely a challenge here.
The Grip: As amazing as this little device is it’s also the most annoying thing about the game in my opinion, if you make the strap to tight then you can hardly play it with the blue button and if you have the strap too loose then the grip might fall out which has happened to me but thankfully not during a song. If the grip does fall out then you have to put it back in and power off the ds which will be very annoying if it happens while playing a song. The buttons are smaller than the ones on the guitar you get with the console games which does make it a little harder when doing a solo.
Overall Opinion: If you’re a fan of the guitar hero games then go ahead and get this game, if you’ve never played a guitar hero game before then I still recommend it but you will need to be patient as you get used to the grip. It’s a lot easier to play if you’ve played previous guitar hero games. If you get the game then I hope you enjoy it and have fun.
