Vista tip - Get sound back

If you’ve got sound problems like I do in Vista then I’m sure you just want a quick solution in getting your sound back if it ever stops while watching videos on Youtube or listening to music in any media player. The method I use to get my sound back is simply go into task manager and click on the services tab and then you will see a services button in the lower right corner, click on that and then you will get a pop up confirming that you want to go into this so just click yes.

Once you’re in there simply scroll down the long menu until you see something called Windows Audio Endpoint Builder, click on that and then click on restart. After clicking on restart then you will be prompted to restart another service which is the Windows Audio so just click yes on that and then those services will restart. Close down all those windows and close down everything that you have open that requires sound (even your Internet browser) and then open them up again and you should have sound back, sometimes this doesn’t get everything back but it does get Youtube working again and some media players so i hope it works for you.
