Vista is invading!

With the long rant of windows vista and Microsoft that i posted yesterday well it’s not looking like it’s going to go a step further for me now…. The college i go to has now said that every machine will be gone with xp and installed with vista (yay!!!). Now i’ll admit that even with all the ranting i did and still do i will say that i do prefer the look and style of vista i just hate all the errors that come with it.
Not only is the college going to be flooded with vista and probably the many errors it comes with but we are also receiving the oh so “impressive” office 2007 which again i have ranted about in the past. Question is why? Why must students that go to my college and others around the world be some what forced to use something that still feels it’s in beta testing? XP is doing fine as it is in my college and others so why is vista and office 2007 being brought in?
One thing i will say is that why has Microsoft made office 2007 bad yet 2008 for the mac version absolutely brilliant? I find it even better to use than office 2003. I think that in the long run this will possibly make it harder for some students to use, especially ones that are not IT experts and have no clue as to what vista even is, more trouble will come when using office 2007 when everything has been hidden and it’s more like a challenge than a piece of software.
We won’t be getting vista until September and i’m pretty sure i will blog about that and the list of errors that me, my class mates and maybe even tutors will be receiving. This is just a post to moan at the fact that things are just going to get worse for students at college who have no idea how to use office 2007 and Microsoft who in the long run might end up receiving more negative feedback (if that’s possible).
