Firefox for web developers

Well after doing a lot of work in a course i am currently studying (web media) i have had to really dig deep into the features of web browsers such as IE, FireFox, safari and opera. My most recent test for a web design was designing a website using CSS-P (cascading style sheets - positioning) i had to work on the positioning of the whole layout and this was a nightmare.

Another part of the test was that we had to get this working in three different browsers and we were all mainly working on it in Internet explorer but when we tried it in another browser well the layout was totally different. As we were doing this we found out that Internet explorer renders everything differently than how it actually should be so this was making it really hard for us to match it all up in three browsers and it made us waste a whole lot of time, after a while we just decided to make it compatible in safari, opera and FireFox.

Now when i am making websites i always preview it in FireFox to make sure that everything is how it should be, as to why Internet explorer chooses to be different i have no idea but after doing what i had to do it was certainly an annoying thing to go through. So for all you web developers out there i highly recommend FireFox but as i said before, opera and safari also display web pages the same way as FireFox.
