Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac

A while ago i was able to get Microsoft Office 2008 for the mac and at first i wondered how the whole layout would be and if it would be as bad as office 2007. It installed pretty fast and as soon as it did there was an update to download and that took quite a while to do and for some reason failed the first attempt. After all the installing and updating was done i opened word for the first time and the layout is pretty much well…brilliant!!! In my opinion it’s a whole lot better than the 2007 version (well it wasn’t hard to improve on that) and as for it being better than 2003 well in a way i think it is actually a bit better and i pretty much prefer it, as for excel and PowerPoint well i haven’t really used them yet but the style is also better than previous versions so once again i have to ask why is Microsoft’s software better on a mac than it is on their own operating system? When installing this you also get Microsoft Entourage and Microsoft messenger, i had previously used messenger and not really liked it and i never knew what Entourage is but after opening it i noticed it was just outlook for the mac and it is brilliant!!! This also comes with a little app called myday which is basically an organiser which is similar to ical and i am actually quite interested in this and might start using it instead of ical (depending on how easy it is to use).
