Easy Iphone ringtones (windows)

My last post was of how to make ringtones for your iphone using garage band and i didn’t really go into a lot of detail due to time issue i may edit that at some point but for now this is the way to get ringtones to your iphone with windows (any version). All that’s required is windows itself, quicktime pro, itunes and an iphone. When you have found the part of a song you want a s ringtone then all you gotta do is right click it in itunes and you should see an option of converting it to .aac format (I’m not sure if this is always there if not then you can try getting a converter and convert the format yourself). Itunes will duplicate that song but it will just be in a different format so you can now open this in quicktime pro, once it’s loaded up you’ll see a little triangle like shape above the time of the song, you can drag this to anywhere in the song and you’ll have two of this one as a start point and the other as a finish point. Once you have placed those two markers in the area that you want you can then click edit and click trim to selection (i believe a ringtone must be at least 30 seconds long but not sure on that). Once that’s done you can go ahead and save it to your desktop or wherever you like to and then simply drag it into the ringtones section of itunes and then sync with your iphone and then all done!!!I have had a few issues in the past where i can’t add the ringtone to the ringtone library of itunes and i haven’t managed to figure this out yet but since i know that garageband can do it easily I’ll be sticking to that.if you need any help then e-mail me at: ss3luke@googlemail.comSeeya.
