Screen recorders

Ever since i got into technology I’ve always wanted the ability to record my desktop so i could make some tutorials for people how needed help, tutorials for such things as installing or editing files or folders and for a long time i could never find one for windows. The closest i got at first was a program called fraps but this was a program used for mainly letting people record them playing games on their computers so it’s not what i wanted, after a while i found a program called bullet screen recorder. This was ok but it was very blurry with the playback and it always gave my videos a logo in the corners of my videos which i didn’t want, i think this was due to it being trial software as i wasn’t willing to pay for this. When getting my macbook pro i came across a screen recorder almost instantly when seeing people make videos on youtube showing what they have in their dock, everytime i seen one of these videos they all seemed to use the same programs to record with and that was screenium. I have downloaded the trial of screenium and it went pretty well, the playback was very nice and there was no logo in my videos and this was just the trial version (i hope to purchase the full version soon). Sadly screenium can only be used on a mac (as far as i know) so i am still looking for a recorder for my vista machine so if anybody has any recommendations then please comment.
