I have only ever used a netgear router and a linksys one and both were good to use but both had their own issues, the issues i had with linksys is that the configuration was pretty hard to setup (for me anyway) so for any basic pc user i wouldn’t recommend getting a linksys router unless you know someone who could do it for you. The bad thing i found about the netgear router is the performance which i find is quite bad, my speed has gone down a lot and i didn’t even configure anything to make that happen so i’m not sure on why that happened. The good things about these is that the linksys had great performance and i had no connection or speed problems at all, with the netgear router i find that the setup is a whole lot more simpler than the linksys one is but the main issue definatly is with the performance. I haven’t had chance of using any other router by anyone else link d-link so i can’t say anything about them but i guess all routers will have problems with them, mainly with connections and speeds but after all the trouble i would recommend netgear to basic home users and linksys to people who need good quality net service.
