While a lot of video reviews i have seen of microsoft lifecams have been bad ones (including chris’s video review) i can honestly say i have never had any trouble with my lifecam. I have only ever had one webcam and i have been told it has great quality when using it over msn, the webcam i am using is the Microsoft Lifecam VX 1000 and i think it is a great piece of equipment and i definatly recommed it to webcam users who need a new one or if you are looking for a first webcam. The only thing i don’t like is that fact that clip that is used to place on top of your monitor or wherever you place it can be a bit annoying, the camera is not completely secure on my monitor and is very easily nudged if moving my monitor. This is also a huge downfall when wanting to place it on your laptop screen which i recommend you don’t do however the stand can be placed on a flat surface so you should place it on a shelf or desk when using with a laptop, or my final option just buy a laptop with a built in webcam as they are very handy especially ones that also have a built in microphone aswell.
