Recently, I  joined  the latest Web 2.0 service out on the web now called Brightkite. It’s not your normal Web 2.0 social website like Myspace or Facebook. It’s a website that allows you not only to add, message  or talk to friends, but see where they are at too and even find out who’s at the location you’re at too.Brightkite allows you to check in where you’re at  by web, e-mail or text and you can then find out who is nearby, etc. Additionally you can post notes and photos at places that others nearby will see too. So far I’ve found this to be a great service and really enjoy using it too. It can be used all different  ways too. One great example is if your planning to meet a group of people for dinner, drinks  or a movie you all can check in when you get to the location to let each other know that you are there at the location.Currently it’s still in Beta, so you’ll need to get an invite, which you can apply for one at their website at http://brightkite.com/  .
