No, this is not a review of Robert Kiyosaki’s book, but a hypothetical question? Is this even possible today? It seems that we live in a world where everyone wants the glits and the glamor without actually having to work very hard for it. I once had a friend who went to school for engineering, six years in total this guy spent in school, graduate and got a job. Less than a year later he quit his job because “it didn’t pay enough”. What ever happened to the days when people started at the bottom and worked their way up the corporate latter? Seems like they have gone out of the window. I can attribute some of this to t.v. shows like VH1’s Fabulous Life Of and other shows that promote these gorgeous wealthy Hollywood celebrities, some, not having to do very much for their fame besides bare a particular name. I don’t mean to be too critical of the world that we live in, but we want the world, but very few are willing to work for it.
So, retire young retire rich? Well, possibly if you work hard invest, not live beyond your means and be willing to take some chances in life. What would the world be without a little risk such as the stock market and bonds. Retirement is on the horizon for all of us. Not everyone will see it by 40, but we will all have our shot.
