With technology moving at an exponential rate and the baby boomer generation approaching retirement, where do older Americans fit into this situation? Personally, it has been very difficult for me to teach my mother the ins and outs of the pc. She was a little timid at first, but now she has come around and can handle the very basics pretty well. But for all of those other older individuals in our society, how do they rank in computer literacy? It seems these days that a lot of people are lacking the basic computer skills even needed in the work force. Maybe this goes beyond age and into other social issues such as income and class.
