Retire Young Retire Rich

No, this is not a review of Robert Kiyosaki’s  book, but a hypothetical question? Is this even possible today? It seems that we live in a world where everyone wants the glits and the glamor without actually having to work very hard for it. I once had a friend who went to school for engineering, [...]

Do you buy into the hype? Black Friday

With all of the door buster sells and techniques used to get people out of bed at 5 a.m. in the morning, one would consider…is it worth it? While browsing through the papers today: walmart, Sears, JC Penny, Target, Circuit City and the like; I noticed something really interesting? The sales, though some drastic in [...]

Yuwie? Social Networking with a twist; making money!

I believe I was browsing around on facebook one day when I saw some groups entitled “Yuwie”. I did a little looking into it, since I had never heard of it. Basically, Yuwie, is a new social site, that has most of the functions of myspace and facebook, the only twist is that you can get [...]

Computer Literacy: Teaching Mom About the PC

With technology moving at an exponential rate and the baby boomer generation approaching retirement, where do older Americans fit into this situation? Personally, it has been very difficult for me to teach my mother the ins and outs of the pc. She was a little timid at first, but now she has come around and [...]

Spell Check Please. Make Money off Misspelled Domains

I suppose it makes sense. Drawing from the popularity of websites such as google by creating a website called gooooogle or googlle to capitalize on profits. Create a website with a misspelled domain name and rack up on the dough right? Well, maybe, depending on how lucy you get. Over the past few years people [...]

Does illegal downloading really affect record sells and box office numbers?

These days, people are always ranting and raving about piracy and preventing kids from using programs like limewire and the like, but do these programs really affect record sells and box office numbers? Everyone would assume that it does, but when doing a little research an article that I came across actually expressed how it [...]

Taking Down Number 1!

The dreams of another 12-0 season are gone. Illinois beat OSU on Saturday in front of a home crowd and on Senior Night. This was OSU’s first home loss since Texas in 2005.

OSU’s defense could not contain the versatile rush attack of Illinois, giving up nearly 250 rushing yards in the game (OSU had not allowed anywhere near that total all year). Illinois went into the half with a 21-14 lead and never looked back. They were not forced to throw the ball and didn’t throw it often.

The Buckeyes pass attack wasn’t as lucky. Boeckman threw for three interceptions (the only turnovers of the game). Todd just looked confused out there as he constantly overthrew, under-threw or threw into double coverage.

The season is not done for the Buckeyes; they travel to Ann Arbor next Saturday. The winner will decide the Big Ten Champion and an automatic BCS bowl bid.

Highway to Heaven! Trip to the Sky! Finding the Best Flights Online!

Recently, I have been on the search for the best plane ticket prices online. I found some sites, some good others not so good. But one site I did come across that was a great comparison site, Kayak.com. Now, I am new to the whole business of purchases and scheduling trips online, but this site truly [...]

Dog uses the “N” word

In the olden days, people used to be able to spew their hatred all over the place without any consequences and repercussions, but now things are finally changing, for the good and the worse. A few weeks ago, it was Nobel Peace Prize winner Dr. James Watson, claiming that Africans are intellectually inferior than their [...]

Falling In Love All Over Again… Mozilla!

Back in the day when I first began my computer using days, Internet Explorer was the way to go. I used to adore that little blue icon in the upper left hand corner of my desktop. Well recently, for some reason, my internet explorer wasn’t cooperating with a program I needed to run while online, [...]
