Sony Reaping The Rewards From The Wii Shortage

Sony is making the most of the current Wii shortage by cutting the price of the PS3. In one week it has managed to sell over 100,000 units.

Mr Stringer said the increase in sales of the console was “the breakthrough we have been anticipating.” He added: “Obviously, we’ve taken so much heat over the year on PS3. Finally, the turning point has been passed.”

You see, this is what I said in another post regarding the Wii shortage. I think if customers cannot get the Wii they will go with something else (i.e PS3) and…lost customer.

I think this artificial “shortage” is going to backfire on Nintendo if they aren’t careful…they should start working their factories overtime to crank some out…

for me, I could care less–who has time for games…
