How to Make a List with List.ly
There are two kinds of people in this world. People like me who love to make lists and everyone else. Most list-making apps lack either list collaboration or list sharing; in some cases list-making apps lack both. List.ly solves both problems as a web-based app that gives users the ability to make lists that are a collection of products, places, or services you create in collaboration with your friends and followers.
List.ly isn’t used to create lists like a list of Twitter followers. You can use list.ly to create lists such as the “Best Hawaii Beaches“, which can be added to by others. Each item in a list can be voted up or down, and commented on, too. As a List.ly user (all you have to do is connect with Facebook or Twitter), you can follow a list to see if anyone adds a new item. If you create a list, you can embed it into your blog, or share the list on Twitter and Facebook.
To create a list on List.ly, login with Facebook Connect or sign in with Twitter. Click on the “start a list” button and enter the title, description and any tags you want for the list. You can also choose whether or not you want the list to feature comments, and whether you want others to be able to add to the list. Once you create your list, you can share it on your blog using the featured JavaScript plugin, which works on most blogs including WordPress and Tumblr.
The ways you can use List.ly are limitless, and you can choose just how collaborative you want to make your list at List.ly. List.ly is relatively new, so stay tuned for future features and ways you can create, share and modify lists. Check out List.ly for yourself and let us know what you think in the comments.
