Teacher Student Relationship

It’s nice to see that some teachers care for their students. My CIT1112 teacher is a very nice teacher and she really wants her students to do well in her class. She even said “If you fail a test or a homework assignment I put it on myself, because I feel I am not doing a good job with the material.” I don’t think I have ever heard a teacher say that at all. Nor have I heard or seen a teacher blame themselves for not doing a good job.

So one day our teacher bought Dunkin Donuts and coffee for the whole class. I don’t know if it was a bribe for us to good or if she wanted us to stay awake. But seeing that made me realize that she truely cares about her students and wants all of us to do good and pass her class. The class itself does have a lot of homework. If there is something you don’t get you can ask her for help, She is always willing to help and if you’re struggling you can stay after class and have her help you.

I had a few teachers like that in high school. It was wonderful. I have even more here in college. It seems like EVERYONE here wants you to succeed, and pushes you to come to office hours for help, or shoves their email address down your throat for extra help. We even have cell/home numbers for some profs. It’s really great to have relationships with profs that are actually from more than just homework. I love that most profs at my school have an open-door policy. It’s so nice.

One in a million - consider yourself VERY lucky.
