I used to hear people tell me everyday “You learn something new every day.” I never really thought that was true, Until I started learning more about computers. When I signed up for my computer hardware maintenance class for this fall, I thought it was going to be really easy and a blow off class. I was wrong, Yes there is a lot of stuff that I already know and that I am good at, But there was some stuff I didn’t know how to do. I don’t think I would of learned how to do it if I were not for my computer hardware maintenance class I would not know how to do a lot of stuff.

There is something called “Mapping a network drive.” Basically it means making a network drive for the whole family to use. I knew this was done with windows I just was not sure how to do it. But when I did a lab simulation of how to do it and see how it’s done now I know how to do it.

I made things a lot easier in my house now and a lot easier on my family now as well. Instead of having them saving everything to a flash drive and then dragging the files onto the computer. Now all they have to do is just open the network folder then look for the server then save the files into the documents folder I setup. This has or will make things a lot easier on me and my family. If I could just get my family to start using it and If I can tell them how to do it. My brother and sister aren’t experienced like me, So this might be too confusing for them. Hopefully I can get it to work out.
