Why am I obessed with hurricanes all of a sudden?

I was never really into Hurricanes until Hurricane Katrina. There was something about Katrina that made me want to learn about hurricanes. Ever since then I’ve been hooked on the fascination of hurricanes. When Katrina hit New Orleans I was amazed at how huge it was and big it was. I didn’t expect it to do that damage, because I didn’t even know what levees were until someone told me.
Now that Gustav has come and almost gone away I am keeping up with it and really learning about hurricanes. I even stayed up late last night just to see it make land fall. I even was tracking it on CNN and other sites as well. I guess you can say I have turned into a weather fanatic. It’s just something about hurricanes that fascinate me.
