Today was the first attempt at going to the AT&T store and talking to someone about pricing and what kind of packages they offer. There is an AT&T store by us and let me tell ya, It was packed. We put our name in and waited for a while. We decided to leave and go get lunch and come back, When we got there we saw someone who was leaving. The people leaving were there when we got there. They were there for almost an hour.
Me and my dad decided to just leave and we will have to come back later. I guess going on a saturday before labor day is a bad time to go to the AT&T and get prices for DSL and packages.
We might get the quad bundle, Depending on if my mom wants a cellphone. Which would be nice, Sometimes her train is late and me or my dad are waiting for an hour for her train to come in, and when she doesn’t have a phone it worries me and I don’t know what she wants, It is really up to her.
I already have a cell phone and I’m fine with what I have, although there are times I wish I had better coverage. Only time will tell if we switch to at&t and get them as a cell phone provider. at&t is a bit cheaper and will offer us more of what we want. Even though with Comcast internet we get pretty good up time and it’s pretty fast. Well at least for me.
Even the wireless internet is fast. Maybe that is because It is a wireless N router and it has a 108 megabit per second connection, So it’s twice as fast as my old router. But the router really isnt the problem at all.
I have a server which is always online and I had to open ports on my old router and as soon as I did that, my internet was completely unstable, It went down almost every day. It wouldn’t come back up until either me or someone else went and unplugged the router and plugged it back in. So I had to switch to a new router, as soon as I did that the problem was fixed almost instantly. So I began to wonder if opening ports was an issue with Comcast, I do not know. I will have to find out if it is or not.
