This weekend there is going to be a ton of football and baseball on. Now there are only a few sports I can actually sit down and watch without getting bored. Football is one of those and baseball is the other one. Being from Chicago there are some good sports team, even most people do not associate Chicago as being a good sports town. The last few years have been good. Both the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox are both fighting to make it to the post season this year. Bot the White Sox and Cubs have a lot of talent and good pitching. The Chicago Bears have yet to kick off their season. It starts in about a week from Sunday. Sunday September 7th 2008 at 8:00PM to be exact.

The Chicago Bears have gotten real lucky the last few years. The offense is beyond awful. This year we have a different quarterback starting which should hopefully help us go somewhere. But we have no right guard or right tackle, so the right side is real weak. Which means the quarterback will have to be on his toes and make really quick decisions. It also doesn’t help that we no wide receivers. Now I know in 2006/07 the Chicago Bears went all the way to the Superbowl. They got lucky. That is all I am going to say. You can blame Devin Hester an outstanding kick returner and punt returner for the Chicago Bears. He was basically our offense for us. Which is really quite sad. It also didn’t help when we had a quarterback who could even hold on to the ball and would fumble every snap. The bears play the Indianapolis Colts week 1 of the NFL on Sunday night. It’s a pretty big game and will be hyped up a lot. I know for sure I will watch the game. I’m not expecting the bears to win at all. Just hope it’s a close game and that both teams do real good.

Illinois has never really been a good college football team. They would always do horrible and lose more then 8 games. Which is really sad. Last year Illinois surprised a lot of people and made it to the Rose Bowl, only to lose to Southern California. This weekend they are taking on Missouri. Missouri is one tough team and they usually always hand us a lose. So I am not expect a win at all. Illinois is ranked number 20 in the BCS and Missouri is ranked number 6 in the BCS. So Missouri is the better team by a long shot. But you never know, there could be a upset. This weekend is packed with high stakes, and big games.
