t’s not everyday you get seats like this to a Chicago white sox game. I was sitting in section 126 which is up close and right by the action. It was right by the pitchers mound, fair/foul line of first base. I go to a lot of games and I haven’t gotten as good seats as those. I could hear the pitches hitting the catcher’s glove. I could hear the ball flying off the bat. I usually don’t get to hear that. Or let alone see it. When I go to a game I try and just enjoy the game. It’s not always about the team winning. It’s about having fun, meeting new people and having a social event. This was not my first white sox game nor was it my last. It could be my last game I go to for the season. Unless I get lucky and get tickets to one or two more games. I highly doubt that will happen.

Usually when I go to a white sox game I don’t have these good of seats. I usually have seats in around the five hundred(500) or so. That’s upper deck and you can’t really see anything at all. So having seats like those is a blessing. I will have to thank my neighbor for those tickets. When I have rare opportunity’s to sit that close to the action I have to get some pictures to prove it. So I did just that. I couldn’t get the pictures uploaded right to lockergnome. I will try and get them up later on this week.

Today’s game wasn’t all that at all. Well it started off good then we got into some trouble and the umpires did a really bad job calling balls and strikes. It cost us the game and possibly put us two games back from the Minnesota Twins. I’m not going to say anymore about the twins because I don’t want to jinx anything at all. I think the jinx the sox this weekend and saying that we needed to win at least two games. Oops, oh well.

The umpires would doing a rally bad job calling strikes. The eighth inning was when everything went downhill In that inning that is when the shit hit the fan. The rays had based loaded and no body out and the umpire was doing a really bad job (to say it nicely) of calling strikes. He let 4 runs come in and we ended up losing 5-3 because of bad calls. I really hope he is happy. Cause I sure as heck am not happy at all. If this costs us a division title I will be even more upset. You can also blame the rain, It was a beautiful day and then in the eighth it started to pour. It only rained for ten or fifteen minutes. But by the time it stopped the damage was already done.

I had a great time at the game though I got some sun. Had a few ballpark hot dogs at the game. Had a few drinks… of Pepsi. Got to talk to my parents and got to see a semi-decent ball game, until the eighth inning. It was fun and I always enjoy myself at white sox games. I guess it’s more of a social outing then it is at Wrigley field where the Chicago cubs play. I really enjoy baseball games. They’re fun to go to. It’s the all American sport that every kid grows up learning. Either learning how to pitch or how to hit. It’s a great sport. I really enjoyed going to the game today.
