Why Am I Giving Windows Vista A Second Chance?

So today I decided to give Windows Vista a second chance. I really don’t know why I am giving it a second chance at all. The installation went smoothly and every thing seems to be working just fine. I did have to go to some website to get my drivers for certain things up and running. Once everything was up and running again I felt pretty good. I have had some really bad experiences with Vista the first time I installed on my primary machine. I got so annoyed by the fact that it didn’t want to work. I am so ingrained to have my hardware and software just work that I didn’t want Windows Vista to play catch up.
Windows Vista was such a bad experience for me, so I thought to myself “why should I give Windows Vista a second chance?” I didn’t want to give it a second chance because of driver incompatibly and nothing working. That was one reason why I switched back to Windows XP. Microsoft Windows XP seemed much faster then Windows Vista in general. Not only that but it seemed to render things faster. XP always used less resources. Not only does it use less resources but it doesn’t need to use some much of my graphics card and use all the power.
So why did I give it a second chance? Well I’ll tell you why. Microsoft Windows Vista is the newest operating system in five years. Windows Vista does have some nice features that I really like. I am not a fan of flip 3-D at all. I like the fact that you can add gadgets on your desktop, I can monitor my CPU and check the weather and know the date. Windows Vista runs fine on this computer and on my laptop it chugs along. But thats off topic. I don’t really like User Account Control (A.K.A UAC). Windows Vista does seems much faster and a lot more secure then Windows XP, the second time around. I might try to dual boot my system or even tri-boot and put Ubuntu XP, and Vista on one hard drive.
I really would like to use my favorite firewall but it does not work with Windows Vista yet. I like Comodo Firewall which yes is really annoying at times. A very annoying firewall is better then no firewall at all. But because this does not work for Vista I use ZoneAlarm Firewall Free. Other then that I can say that I have not have had any viruses or spyware yet. So Vista does seem much more secure. Vista has yet to crash on me. I’ve only had it running for two days now.
Most of my programs are working just fine in Windows Vista. I still do hate it though. I just want to use it so I can troubleshoot it for problems I may run in to. But not just for me but for other people who might be scared tp touch a computer and try and troubleshoot it. I need to learn every operating system for people who might be using older and newer systems. Most newer operating systems like Windows 2000 and Windows XP I am familiar with. So I need to get used to Vista. I am hoping this time my Vista experience will be much better and will not give me a headache as much.
