There are several web browsers out there for everyone to try and use. Most people out there really only use Internet Explorer seven. Well I used to use internet explorer since it was really the only option for a long time. I have used Firefox since it was released, Firefox 1. When I heard about Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta 1 I was excited and jumped the shark and decided to go and try it out. Heck I am writing this blog in Firefox 3 Beta 1. I even tried Mozilla Firefox 3 alpha 6. The alpha seemed a little bit faster the first Beta.

I have always been a Firefox fan and I am happy that more and more people are getting away from internet explorer. I’m not saying Internet Explorer is a bad browser, it’s just a little slow and seems to crash a lot. Firefox 3 Beta 1 has yet to crash on me. (knock on wood). Firefox alone has been downloaded more then four hundred million times. That is very shocking to me. Firefox is the little browser that can do it.Most people download it because it’s safer and faster and more secure.

The Mozilla organization has released Firefox 3 Beta 1 and they have promised quite a few new improvements that make a better and faster browser. One of the newer features in Firefox 3 Beta 1 that you cant see is a new Anti-Virus scan when your downloading patches or anything off the internet. That is very nice for someone like me. I download a lot of programs off the internet. I am usually pretty careful of what sites I download from. Firefox 3 Beta 1 seems a lot more stable compared to the latest release of 2.0.0.9.

I have yet to have Firefox 3 Beta 1 crash on me, like I said before. Since Firefox 3 Beta 1 is still in Beta none of my plugins or add-ons or themes work at all. I can live without most of them. The only one I wish I had was RoboForm password manger. Hopefully the plugin issues gets fixed for the final release of Firefox 3. Firefox 3 is looking like it could be a much safer browser.

The core Gecko rendering engine — the component that interprets Web page instructions has seen major improvements This means that Firefox 3 Beta ! will not only be faster but it render pages a little better. This does seem to make a big difference in speed and with rendering speeds. I can tell you it does seem a little bit faster at times, but then there are times that it is bogged down and slow due to connection issues. Firefox 3 Beta 1 looks like a good browser. Overall its faster, more secure, and a little bit more function, more stable. That is one reason why I like Firefox, it’s more secure and it makes it a lot harder for you to get viruses.
