Piracy a crime?

Nowadays so many people are downloading illegally and bootlegging .That it same to me that the RIAA will not be able to catch everyone. We all think “we will never get caught” but you are partially correct and wrong at the same time. You see everything you do on your computer is stored on your Memory or RAM( Random Access Memory.) So the RIAA could end up catching you because all the downloads you do get stored in your RAM for about 6-24 hours so you think, okay, I will just do a clean erase of my hard drive and it will be fine.

But see it’s on your RAM and you can’t wipe your RAM clean unless you have the right software involved, but even that is not guaranteed to keep you completely safe over the internet and for Piracy. Now you think hey what if I do wipe out my memory? Well guess what they can still catch you, They can trace your IP address and if they get that your basically screwed. So do you think stealing music is a crime or not. I know some opinions may be different, but in a way it is a crime. Now I am neither against it or for Piracy, I’m just stating my opinion on the topic. If you do it every day then yes it crime.

Is it a crime because the RIAA has not clearly stating what we can and can not download or do, maybe. How many of you have actually sat though and read the constitution? does it state anything about Pirating music? No I didn’t think it did. So until the laws are clearly stated I will or will not download illegal contact off the internet. Notice how I keep my identity private and don’t clearly If I do or do not download illegal contact.

There are certain things that I will download though BitTorrents. I will download Linux distros though BitTorrent site and those really are legal to download off those kind sites. In fact I am pretty sure Linux and Debian and Ubuntu would not mind if you did that at all. They want people to download them so more and more people will learn them and use them as a primary operating system.

What Do You Think?
