The BCS in college football is very hard to understand sometimes. It seems like LSU will get a pretty high bowl game and who they play I don’t know. I live in Illinois so I am actually quite happy this year. For once I good Illinois football team gets into a decent bowl game. They will be going bowling this year. I usually watch every bowl game over the course of the holiday season.

Illinois is becoming a much better football and they have a very good sophomore quarterback named Juice Williams. Juice Williams and Illinois this year beat the formerly number one(1) ranked Ohio State. That was a huge shocker to everyone here in Illinois and for the commentators in the sports world. I am really excited to see Illinois go to a bowl game. I just think there going to get shafted and have to play a really good team, or they get a really bad team and no body will give them credit.

The problem I have with living in Illinois is that every body always says we have bad sports teams. Well that is partly true. We have had 3 good years so far in Illinois in the sports world. In 2005 we had the Chicago White Sox win the World Series (I am a die hard white sox fan). in 2006/2007 we had the Chicago Bears go to the Super….The big game. (were not allowed to say Super Bowl unless we pay the NFL). and this year we had the Cubs make it to the playoffs but got knocked out first round. Oh yeah I hate the Chicago Cubs by the way. I think there fans and players are just so mean and inconsiderate.

Ever since Ron Zook toke over as head coach of Illinois, they have been getting better every year. Illinois was a really bad football a few years and ago and it seemed like anyone could of have come in to the stadium and beat them. But they have won more and more games since the Ron Zook Era. This year they went 9-3 which in college football is pretty good.

Will Illinois get a good BCS bid is my question. If they do who will they play, and do they deserve as much credit as they should? Iliinois will be very good in a few years and they have taken down Ohio State the last two years. Illinois has shown signs of improvement the last few years. I can’t wait to watch them go bowling.
