The Future Of OSes And Computers

I’ve been a computer geek most of my life. There a lot of things I know about computers in general. Most geeks do in too. The future of computing is always fun to talk about in many ways. I believe… well, I don’t believe I think that the future will be either booting up from the Internet or having a basic email icon and everything will be located from there kinda like Gmail.
Or I believe that there will be a Google based operating system with all the applications you want. Now some may argue and say “that’s where Linux is doing”… yes but its applications aren’t easy to use for someone who is a novice. All someone wants to do is turn on their computer and go to the Internet. So having an Internet based OS would be the best choice. Everything nowadays is based off of the Internet.
Here is why I think Google would be a betterchoice. Google already has a lot of applications out there that anyone could use. Google Docs is a great alternative to Microsoft Office. Now you can say, well, OpenOffice is better than both… okay, so maybe you’re right…. maybe you’re wrong. I believe that Google Docs is easier to use as well. Another cool feature is Google Talk, which I guess is kinda like Skype in a way, just different in some aspects. Google Talk is a Instant Messenger cilent, skype, and a email all in one. Now what other company has that? No one!
You can argue with me as much as you want, but Google is a better overall operating system (If they were to make one). Google not only has Google Talk and Google Docs, it also has one of the best calendars out there - Google Calendar, which I use on a daily basis. Google Calendar can send text messages to my phone. That is cool.
I see that as the future of computing. Either a Google OS or an Internet-based operating system. Maybe Linux is headed that way, too. Who knows? Everything is already going towards the Internet, so we are going to see a internet based operating system sooner or later.
