Do you use a firewall? If not you should think about using one. Now if you don’t know what a firewall it’s a physical wall between your computer and predators on the outside. Most people are not smart enough to them on at all. Firewalls are very important to use, They help protect your computer from all kinds of nasty hackers. Firewalls can be used to stop traffic from reaching your computer as well.

Another important security tool for your pc is some sort of Anti-Virus software. Don’t use Windows Defender it does not catch anything at all. A Virus is some sort of program that breeches your computer and destroys it one by one. Which can take files from your pc and manipulate them. So how do you get rid of a virus you ask? Step One: backup all of your data on to a flash drive or a external drive Step two: Download AVG Anti-Spyware or Avast free and let them run, Once finished if the virus program finds a virus tell it to delete it. Step three: Reboot your machine to make sure the virus is completely wiped out.

Spyware on the other hand is much more different in General.Spyware is much more harder to get rid of as well. It’s about of getting rid of a Virus. You need to run a Spyware program and back up your data as well, so you have a copy of it. If the anti-spyware program catches something let it keep going. The longer you let it run the more chance it will catch something. More often or not you get spyware from browsing the web and downloading information off the web. It’s just that easy. But ninety percent of the time you can catch it automatically and delete it as well. Another way people get spyware is by enabling File sharing on your computer like p2p. Most of the p2p files you download will contain some spyware.

AVG free is one of the best anti-virus, I have ever used in my life. It really does it’s job and it less resource hungry then Windows Defender. AVG also has a built in Auto-Scan, This is a nice feature if you leave your computer on 24 hours a day.

AVG Anti-Spyware is also a very good program as well. It does it’s job. It also is like AVG Free it has a scheduler and you can leave it alone once set.  Another Anti-Spyware program I recommend is Spy Bot search and Destroy. It has been good for a number of years but it seems to be over taken by Webroot SpySweeper. Even AVG Anti-Spyware as well. There all amazing spyware programs and they all do wjat  they suppose to do.

My brother and sister do not understand why a Firewall is important. They have disabled there Windows Firewall, which by the way is just awful. I have told them numerous time “use your Firewall.” So then I go in there and install one and it works one-hundred percent better then Windows Firewall as well. Like I said before a Firewall will stop hackers and backdoor trojans from getting in most of the time. I recommend two types of firewall that nagging but are still very good. Which I talk about below.

One of the firewalls I recommend is Comodo Firewall. Which is listed below, Comodo is recommend by almost every PC secuirty expert out there. Comodo is very nagging and annoying but it’s well worth it.  Comodo Also shows the IP address of the program that you want to use, That is very good in my opinion.
Another Firewall I recommend is Zonealarm Firewall (not internet security, you have to pay for that one). Zonealarm is very good and does not allow very much in as well. Zonealarm recently updated there Firewall to Zonealarm Forcefield. ForceField comes with a built in Private browser, Anti-Phishing tool. I myself used to use a firewall but i had toun-install because it was causing problems with my computer.
