Here is why I think Microsoft will not be able to control companies like Dell and Linux forever.
Why, Microsoft, why? Why do you make the consumers pay all your programs? why can’t you be more like OpenOffice.org and have an Open Source project come along the way, will that really hurt you Microsoft? Do you not have the money to spare for an Open Source project? Microsoft you will not shut down any Linux distro or OpenOffice.org. Why, you ask? because if you shut them down, more will just kept being made. This is the problem I have with Microsoft; they think that this big gigantic corporation and all the manufacturers have to listen to Microsoft. Well, no, they don’t have to listen to Microsoft at all. Why do you think Dell shipped their PCs with Ubuntu on them? Because the consumers asked for it and Dell delivered it. I’m not a big fan of Dell computers, but I think more companies will start to follow in Dell’s footprints and start shipping PCs with some sort of Linux distro, weather it be Ubuntu or Suse (pronounced Suzy).
Microsoft, give me a break. Do you think you can control these companies forever? You will lose.
