Ever since Microsoft released Windows Vista, they have taken a stance of minimalism. So if you get that brand new install of Vista and boot it up for the first time your going to see no icons on your desktop. Now I understand some people prefer this setup. You won’t see My Computer, My Networks, My Documents, on the desktop. If your like me you need those icons. So here is how you get them back. Goto your desktop right click and personalize. On the left hand column you will see the label “change desktop icons” From that screen you can add back your icons.
Here are the screenshots

What gets me upset is “why” would you put a “delete” on the recycle bin?

it probably works, but all my windows can’t open, so when i try to open properties, it doesn’t open……. and the reason i deleted my recycle bin was by mistake, Bill. Don’t be so critical! everyone makes mistakes!
