Well not really, but my life or those near and dear to me do.

This is a quick 2007 in review thingy.

Close family member buried her husband at the start of the year due to rapid onset cancer.  At the end of the year we were burying her new partner due to an industrial workplace accident.

Shift working is still fun and giving me the time to do what I need to do but the lat 3 months of the year have been hell as I’ve not had a shift partner to assist in my particular duties. I still get my leave, etc but there are times you need a co-worker to pick up the slack or to be able to bounce ideas off at 4am.

I presented a big vision document to the powers that be about the way forward for a charity I’m heavily involved with. I got the “We’ll think about it speech” and since then nada - well at least nothing that appears to be positive.

I managed to shed all responsibilities at work and in other areas of my life so that now I can concentrate on just being me and looking after my family - rather than worrying about what’s best for someone else and boy does that feel good.

I started this blog and it went OK for a while until the latter part of the year when the pressures (I don’t do stress) of my lif got on top of me - since then it has taken a bit of a back seat. However I intend, no promises, to pick it back up. Not sure whether to be less or more focused. Will see what 2008 brings.
